Visitor Information
Sophia Point is an off-grid centre, therefore it is important to bear in mind the following before visiting:
Our site is solar powered, therefore charging times are restricted to manage capacity. Remember to bring a battery charger with you. Bedrooms do not have charge points. All charge points require Guyanese plugs.
Drinking water is provided, it is advised to bring your own refillable water bottle
All showers are rain water fed. We ask all visitors to limit their use and note that the showers are not heated.
We aim for a zero waste approach at Sophia Point. We request that all waste made is taken off-site by visitors at the end of their stay.
